## Nutritional Information & Macros
| **Calories** | ~410 kcal |
| **Protein** | ~22 g |
| **Net Carbs** | ~22 g |
| **Fiber** | ~56 g |
| **Fat** | ~9.5 g |

**Note:** High in dietary fiber thanks to the Psyllium Husk (Isabgol) and natural sprouts, making net carbs remarkably low!

## Step-by-Step Recipe Guide

### Ingredients

* **Chana Sprouts (Chickpea):** 1.5 cups
* **Moong Dal Sprouts (Mung Bean):** 1.5 cups
* **Isabgol (Psyllium Husk):** 1/2 cup
* **Water:** 1/2 cup
* **Fresh Ginger:** 1 small piece
* **Salt:** 1 tsp
* **Baking Soda:** 1 tsp
* **Lemon Juice or Vinegar:** 2 tbsp *(to activate soda)*
* **Cooking Oil:** 1 tsp *(for greasing hands)*
* **Topping:** 1-2 tbsp mixed seeds *(flax, sunflower, sesame)*

### Step-by-Step Instructions

1. **Prep & Blend:** Preheat your oven to **180°C for 10 minutes**. Add the Chana sprouts, Moong sprouts, and fresh ginger to a blender or food processor. Grind into a coarse, fine paste.
2. **Combine Fibers:** Transfer the blended sprouts into a mixing bowl. Add salt, Isabgol (Psyllium Husk), and water. Mix thoroughly.
3. **Activate the Dough:** Sprinkle the baking soda over the mixture and pour the lemon juice/vinegar directly onto it. Watch it fizz, then immediately fold the mixture together until well combined into a thick dough.
4. **Shape the Buns:** Lightly grease your hands with a splash of oil. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and gently shape them into smooth round buns.
5. **Garnish:** Sprinkle your favorite seed mixture (flax, sunflower, or sesame) on top of each bun and press lightly so they stick.
6. **Bake to Perfection:** Place buns on a lined baking tray. Bake at **180°C for 25–30 minutes**.

## Attentive Highlights & Pro-Tips

* **OVEN PRO-TIP:** Keep **BOTH heating rods ON** and the **convection fan OFF**! This retains internal moisture so your buns stay pillowy soft without drying out.
* **THE FIZZ FACTOR:** Never skip pairing baking soda with lemon juice/vinegar. Since there’s no yeast, this acid-base reaction is the secret to giving your buns a soft, fluffy rise!
* **GUT-HEALTH HERO:** Psyllium husk acts as the ultimate gluten-free binder while packing a massive fiber boost!

“Based preloads can be a practical tool for bariatric patients who struggle with portion control,” says Sean Thompson, a Northampton-based dietitian with a 4.99-star rating across 385+ reviews. “But I always tell clients: the foundation is still protein-first meals and mindful eating. Think of the gelatin trick as training wheels, not the whole bike. And if you have kidney concerns, check with your doctor — excessive gelatin can be protein overkill.”

Sean specializes in accessible, evidence-based nutrition for individuals with disabilities and those navigating post-surgical diets. She holds dual master's degrees from Tufts University and approaches care without a weight-centric lens.
