Seeing videos claiming Oprah Winfrey or Dr. Ania Jastreboff revealed a secret baking soda recipe for fast weight loss? I clicked through the funnel to see what’s really going on.

In this video, I break down a fake Today Show-style landing page, non-clickable news logos, fake comments, questionable AI-looking customer photos, recycled before-and-after images, fake urgency, fake reviews, and “FDA Approved” badges used to make AlkaLean look legitimate.

The page also tries to make it seem like Oprah Winfrey and Dr. Ania Jastreboff are connected to AlkaLean. But both have warned that scammers misuse their faces, videos, and audio to promote shady weight-loss products and unverified supplements. They are not connected to AlkaLean.

I also checked Trustpilot reviews, the so-called official AlkaLean site, the customer photos, the badges, the checkout page, and the claims being used to push this supplement.

If you’re wondering whether AlkaLean is real, whether the Oprah baking soda recipe story is legit, or whether this is another miracle-supplement funnel, watch the full breakdown before entering your payment details.

“Based preloads can be a practical tool for bariatric patients who struggle with portion control,” says Sean Thompson, a Northampton-based dietitian with a 4.99-star rating across 385+ reviews. “But I always tell clients: the foundation is still protein-first meals and mindful eating. Think of the gelatin trick as training wheels, not the whole bike. And if you have kidney concerns, check with your doctor — excessive gelatin can be protein overkill.”

Sean specializes in accessible, evidence-based nutrition for individuals with disabilities and those navigating post-surgical diets. She holds dual master's degrees from Tufts University and approaches care without a weight-centric lens.
